In the second quarter of 2024, the performance of Film & Television applications on the unified platform in the United States showcased varying trends across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at the data for these leading apps.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies saw its revenue fluctuating, with a peak of $13M in the final week of June. Downloads showed a significant uptick in mid-June, reaching nearly 810K. Weekly active users climbed steadily from 8.8M to a high of 9.3M in the third week of June, before slightly dipping to 9.1M.

Disney+ experienced a revenue peak in mid-May at over $11M, with a general downward trend in the following weeks, stabilizing around $10M. Downloads saw a gradual increase throughout the quarter, ending with 351K in the last week of June. Active users had a low in mid-April at 6.8M but rebounded to 7.5M by the start of June.

Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies maintained a revenue range between $6M and $7.4M, with notable spikes in early April and mid-June. Downloads were lowest in mid-April at around 186K but showed growth, reaching 364K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users dipped to 3.7M in mid-April but recovered to nearly 3.9M by the quarter's end.

Hulu: Stream TV shows & movies saw a steady revenue stream, with a high of over $6M in the last week of June. Downloads remained consistent, with a spike to 373K in the same period. Active users showed a downward trend, dropping from 12.4M to 11.8M, then climbing back up to over 12.3M at the quarter's close.

Paramount+ had its revenue hovering around the $5.6M mark, with slight variations throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked in late May at 320K, while weekly active users showed a decline from 2.5M in early April to just over 2.3M by the end of June.
